A homeopathic consultation takes about an hour to an hour and a half. The current symptoms you are experiencing are discussed and the homeopath will ask you questions about your symptoms and general health and well being including appetite sleep and life style. You may also be asked questions relating to past symptoms and health history. You will also usually be asked about your family health history. You may also be asked about medications or homeopathic remedies you have taken in the past.
Based on information taken at this consultation a homeopathic prescription for a remedy(ies) will be given to you. This will usually be dispensed by the homeopathic pharmacy. Your remedies may come in tablet or liquid form and your homeopath will give you detailed instructions on how to take them.
If you have health insurance with LAYA or AVIVA or Hospital Saturday Fund you may claim back some of the costs of your homeopathic treatments, depending on your policy.
